Parviz Karami stated: in order to evaluate the global experiences of startups in the area of digital health, the sixth volume of the series of reports on evaluation of global experiences of startups is published.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Parviz Karami, the secretary of knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter, pointed out the publishing of the book of “evaluation of global experiences of startups” in six volumes, expressing: considering the mission of the Vice-Presidency in the last years, which was development of new and knowledge-based companies, understanding the current directions of these companies and recognition of strategic topics and challenges can help guiding the new paths for the ecosystem of these companies. Therefore, one of the missions of the Vice-Presidency has been the guidance and re-opening of new paths for ecosystem of knowledge-based companies to maximize their economic and social effects.

The secretary of knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter affirmed: the Vice-Presidency has aimed to evaluate the new patterns of new businesses at the global level and compare them with the behaviors of Iranian companies to focus on new areas that can have the most social effect in addition to economic achievements. Therefore, in this book, we have tried to use the alignment approach and to understand the most important trends governing the changes in the startup of the ecosystems, in order to identify new routes for the emerging and knowledge-based Iranian companies.

Managing director of knowledge-based technology publications continued: in the first phase, we evaluated the global experiences of startups in the area of digital health. Other startup areas that have been evaluated include waste management, physical health and exercise, air pollution management, agriculture, water and drought management, digital health, social innovation, early commodities and energy consumption, tourism, automotive, insurance and education, which are presented in the form of separate reports.

In addition, each report encompasses three main analytical sections on the macro condition of that field and recognition of strategic topics and key challenges, introduction of key startups in each strategic topic and analysis of technologies, field of activity, business model and type of responsiveness to key challenges of that field.

Karami continued: the section six of this project is related to digital health, which is consisted of evaluation of the macro condition of the field, startups of citizens and patients, startups related to healthcare providers and startups related to educational environments with a final summary of the implementation stages.

According to the managing director of knowledge-based technology publications, the section of startups of citizens and patients has subcategories such as fitness and lifestyle, in-home care and social media and electronic markets. In addition, knowledge management and advanced care are the subcategories of startups related to healthcare providers, as pointed out in this volume. In the end, the fourth section of the book is dedicated to startups related to educational environments, that consists of the subcategory of educational services.
