According to the vice president for science and technology affairs, the knowledge-based ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship is on the right path by relying on the young innovators and founders of knowledge-based companies and startups.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, attended the economy of resistance council meeting of Hamedan to talk about the importance of knowledge-based ecosystem in the presence of the authorities and technologists of the province at the end of his one-day trip to this region.

Yesterday’s Strong Resistance Fortress and Today’s Innovative Models

Growing up in the Nojeh Air Base of Hamedan, Sattari reminded the first days of the Iran-Iraq war and his childhood memories in this base as a strong fortress during the imposed war and a valuable model for resistance and elimination of barriers. He added: our most prominent pilots have flown their plans from this air base, finalized the exciting and unique operation of H3, and added to the number of martyrs of the country. The Nojeh Air Base is the pole of culture of resistance. When there was a shortage of spare parts for our airplanes, they stood alone and transformed the history of the country by their bravery and audacity.

On the Circuit the Second Step of the Revolution

Pointing out the abilities of knowledge-based businesses and startups in realization of flourishing of production and moving on the path of the second step of the revolution, the vice president for science and technology affairs expressed: knowledge-based businesses and startups have successfully passed the test of value creating and efficiency. In addition, the ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship is on the path of realization of our goals by relying on the innovation of the youth who have founded knowledge-based and startup companies.

The president of the knowledge-based economy, technology and science development headquarter regarded the increasing growth of companies, sales rate and occupation resulting from their activities as a positive sign of formation of a new trend in the economy of the country, adding: more than 4300 knowledge-based companies and 6000 startups have been formed. While the ability of these enterprises to create value and be welcomed by the society was unthinkable at first, they work efficiently in this area by expanding the ecosystem of businesses.

According to Sattari, the first priority is opening the field for activities of these businesses. In this respect, Sattari asserted: while money and financial affairs are important, they are among the next priorities of a prosperous business of knowledge-based or startup companies. In fact, establishing a favorable environment for the emergence of educated young people who are not afraid of failure and consider experiencing a valuable asset is the first priority of these businesses.

“University”, Mother of the Startup Innovations

The vice president for science and technology affairs talked about an environment that must be formed in the province so that problem-solving and creating value added could be continued by the innovation and creativity of the young generation, continuing: Hamedan can be turned into a pole for creative and cultural, as well as tourism and handicraft industries. This can be realized by the role-playing of academics in startups.

Moving on the Axis of the Cycle of Innovation Cycle

The vice president for science and technology affairs regarded the path of evolution of the country and being placed on the innovation axis to be depending on the establishment of science and technology parks by the private sector. In this regard, he conveyed: science and technology parks must support knowledge-based activities of the province as a central core. Today, a new path has been opened to the development of services of parks. By the investment of the private sector, parks can expand their services to knowledge-based companies in an unlimited manner.

Three Steps toward Transformation

Sattari explained three important science and technology missions of the government in the current year, affirming: this year, three topics have been prioritized by the Vice-Presidency, including the development of the ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship, empowerment of knowledge-based companies, and supply of sanctioned goods with regard to the current condition of the country and improvement of capacities of these businesses.

The knowledge-based economy, technology and science development headquarter emphasized the initiation of development of knowledge-based economy from universities, asserting: the third program of follow-ups is related to the transformations that must occur in universities and research centers. Training human resources is the main mission of universities, and the society feels the favorable effect of universities of the innovation of creative and entrepreneurial graduates. In addition, new models have been implemented in universities, favorable results of which will be soon witnessed in the country.
