Support of doctoral dissertations is a step toward empowering PhD students in performing studies. In this regard, the fourth call to support doctoral dissertations is published by the Iranian national science foundation.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, many doctoral dissertations are performed by students annually, direction of which toward eliminating the fundamental research and technology needs of the country is somehow interpreted as using their potential capacity. In this regard, the Iranian national science foundation publishes two calls every year to support doctoral dissertations in order to provide an opportunity for students across the country to use this financial support to finalize their dissertations.

Young researchers and scientists can send their research projects in the form of doctoral dissertations to the foundation to use the financial support provided in this regard. Therefore, publication of this call can be a step toward empowering PhD students in performing studies and helping students. In this respect, 30 million IRT will be given to each doctoral dissertation. In the first, second, and third calls, 103, 160, and 197 dissertations received support. Moreover, the fourth call was published on September 6^th 2018 and enthusiasts of the field can send their dissertations until December 6^th 2018.
