According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the vice president for science and technology affairs pointed out that in the culture of startups, creative ideas are formed to solve the problems of the society and create added value during the ceremony for inauguration of the urban innovation center of Mashhad, which was held in the presence of Mohammad Kalaei, the mayor of Mashhad, and members of the Islamic council and some of the managers and startups of Mashhad, expressing: the art of startup activists is realizing the innovative ideas. Providing the proper environment for these organizations in order to follow up their work with no concern will lead to urban development and improvement.

The vice president for science and technology affairs mentioned the necessity of changing the attitude and building the culture for creating new business environment, stating: this center will initiate change of attitude and create a proper business environment for urban startups. We hope that by creating this field, we would witness the formation of occupations and added value in order to solve a part of urban problems by the creative and entrepreneurial youth.

According to Sattari, this is a cultural transformation when the municipality decides to involve the people in solving the problems instead of solving the issues alone by establishing a suitable environment for developing startups and innovative ideas.

The first phase of urban innovation center of Mashhad, which is aimed to be completed in five phases, will be active with the support of the municipality of Mashhad and three accelerators of the private sector in the fields of fintech, creative industries, and a fanup accelerator.

In this innovative center, problem-centered innovative ideas and issues that can create businesses will be recognized and turned into services or products through the private sector.

Unveiling two Devices Made in Iran

In the presence of the vice president for science and technology affairs, two devices (made in Iran) were unveiled by Tus Ghaleb Taha Knowledge-based Co.

Hydraulic press (25000 tons), which is produced in the country for the first time, is used in the production of heat exchanger plate. This device can produce these plates to the largest size of converters in the world with the size of four meters.

The cost of producing this device is $2 million, and if the country supports and supplies domestic demand, it will produce around $40 million a year.

In addition, the welded and semi-welded heat exchanger device was unveiled during the ceremony. In case of being supported and installed in all petrochemical sites, this device will produce $3 million in a year.
