By one of the companies present in the Made in Iran exhibition, the laser surface assessment device was presented, for which the triangular laser technology is exploited to evaluate the surface of items.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, on the 6^th laboratory equipment & chemicals exhibition (Iran Lab 2018), the laser surface assessment device with the accuracy of one µm was presented. This tool combined laser, optic system, and CCD sensor to determine the distance from the sensor to the objects.

Ali Salehpour, the CEO of the knowledge-based Kahroba Company, explained about the device: the software of the tool is designed in a way that data interpretation is carried out based on the selection step.

He also pointed out the software placed inside the device, expressing: the steps between two interpretations of the data can be selected from three µm to several mm in any direction of the two motor axes. In other words, the less the motor step, the more complete the details but the higher the time required for completion of the method.

This technology activist continued: after receiving the data, the information is analyzed using GWYDDION software, which evaluates the roughness and height of the physical form of the cover considering the need for evaluation.

According to this report, the sixth laboratory equipment & chemicals exhibition (Iran Lab 2018) is held along with the 19^th exhibition of research, technology, and technomart achievements from December 24^th-27^th, 2018. For more information, please refer to www.iranlabexpo.ir.
