A memorandum of understanding is signed between the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs and Iran Khodro Co. to support the formation of accelerators in the field of automotive industry technologies.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, a memorandum of understanding is signed by Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, and Hashem Yekezare, the CEO of Iran Khodro CO, to support the formation of a specialized accelerator in the field of automotive industry technologies and creation of new knowledge-based companies in this area.

According to this agreement, it is decided to establish innovation centers with missions such as “promotion, notification, and sync of various industries and companies of the field to benefit from and increase the quality of services and products in the field of automotive industries and car equipment and to present operational projects to apply border-knowledge technologies and new technologies of the world in the field of cars”, “support of specialized accelerators to attract, create teams, and empower innovators and entrepreneurs of the field”, and “networking, marketing, and investing on technology teams and cores”.

According to this agreement, the commitments of the Vice-Presidency include “helping the optimization of the necessary infrastructures, such as proper physical spaces and equipment required to form innovation centers and accelerators as far as possible”, “supporting the establishment of innovation centers working on industries and uses in the field of automotive industries, specifically spare production chain”, “performing the necessary acts to accelerate the acquisition of the necessary licenses to establish and start the activity of innovation centers”, “creating the necessary foundations for cooperation and signing of goal-centered agreements with knowledge-based companies and other relevant organizations”, and “supporting the holding of events related to the development of technologies related to the automotive industries, which are carried out with the cooperation of Iran Khodro Company”.

“Maximum efforts to define the issues and challenges of the automotive industry and providing the necessary information and guaranteeing the purchase of solutions and needs assessment products by Iran Khodro to knowledge-based spare-producing network”, “aiming to provide the technical content and educations to empower teams located in accelerators, including educational visits and courses related to problems raised by Iran Khodro as far as possible”, “making efforts in order to establish the network and link the accelerators to the field of product design and piece supply”, helping the monitoring and guiding innovation and accelerator processes”, as well as other goals are among some of the responsibilities of Iran Khodro Co. determined in this memorandum of understanding.

A committee will be formed from the representatives of the two parties to implement the notes of the agreement. This committee will be responsible for designing the executive program and determining the credits and opinions required for accurate implementation of programs.
