The vice president for science and technology affairs unveiled the achievements of knowledge-based companies and startups based in province of Bushehr during his travel to this region.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, visited the abilities and achievements of knowledge-based companies, technological units and startups based in this province.

Inauguration of Laboratory of Toxicology with Iranian Equipment

The vice president for science and technology affairs visited one of the largest laboratory complexes in south of the country to inaugurate the toxicology laboratory of this center. In this laboratory, more than 150 types of toxins in food and agricultural products will be recognized and identified.

Visiting the Bushehr Nuclear Medicine Research Center

In addition, the vice president for science and technology affairs visited the Bushehr Nuclear Medicine Research Center. The Center for Nuclear Medicine and Bushehr Molecular Imaging provides over 50 types of diagnostic and laboratory services. The center has been making significant advances in the treatment of advanced cancers while pursuing scientific authority in the field of cancer diagnosis and treatment. Treatment of patients with radioactive iodized thyroid cancer, treatment of differentiated thyroid with radioactive iodine, treatment with MIBG for some childhood tumors, treatment of advanced cancers of the nervous system, advanced prostate cancer treatment, treatment of advanced rheumatoid arthritis, treatment of hyperthyroidism with radioactive material And treating cancer of metastatic bone with radioactive substances at the center of medical technology.

Unveiling the Knowledge-based Academic Products

During this travel, Sattari visited the research and technology center of Persian Gulf University and unveiled the knowledge-based products of academic researchers and technologists based in the research and technology center of University of Bushehr.

These products were produced by technological academic units active in the field of herbal tissue culture, laboratory knowledge-based equipment, pharmaceutical herbal products, and information technology and communication infrastructures and software.

Showcasing the Technological Achievements in Science and Technology Park of Bushehr

Sattari was also present in Persian Gulf science and technology park of Bushehr and visited the achievements presented by technological units of the park.

Technologists located at this science and technology park produce equipment such as sprayer UAV, graphene nano materials, cranial electrotherapy device to reduce anxiety, cool plasma skimmer for recycling unconventional waters, and urban and industrial wastewater treatment.

Bushehr Will Become an Innovative Region

During this travel, an agreement was signed to create the technology and innovation associations in order to turn the commercial region of Bushehr into a knowledge-based and innovative area and increase knowledge-based notions in this area.

The special Persian Gulf science and technology zone is one of the five areas of science and technology and is established in line with the support and facilitation of locating and being active in this region by knowledge-based companies and startups. In order to create the knowledge-based economy, an agreement was signed as a consortium between the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the Persian Gulf special zone, the Persian Gulf science and technology park, the Persian Gulf University, Bushehr University of Medical Sciences, the municipality of Bushehr and the Islamic council.

Improving and developing the joint cooperation and activities in line with creating technological urban areas to turn the coast of Bushehr into the knowledge-based city with the approach of entrepreneurship and realization of plans of the parties are the topics of this agreement.
