The patent association activated 57 intellectual property offices in universities across the country to help accelerate the process of international patent registration for Iranian inventors.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the patent association has dedicated extensive efforts to support the international registration of patents in Iran. In addition to support of 90% of patent registrations in the intellectual property offices of Europe, the United States, China and other countries, the patent association has taken other measures to facilitate this move.

Therefore, in an effort to help this process, the association has aimed to active intellectual property offices in universities of the country. These offices will improve the process of patent registration for inventors by holding specialized workshops in this field. Universities such as Tehran, Sharif, Amir Kabir, Shahid Beheshti, Ferdowsi Mashhad, Esfahan, Science and Technology Park of Yazd, Science and Technology Park of Fars province and Tabriz are establishing these offices in the field of international patent registration.

Of course, the existence of these offices in universities is also a promotional activity, and it has led to the development of culture in this field. Researchers in these offices will become familiarized with the activities of the patent association for their international registration of their invention. Therefore, identifying potential and inventors and helping to fill out and write applications at the offices of these universities speeds up. Another issue is the launch of the commercialization office, which has so far happened at Sharif University and Amir Kabir University.
