Chairman of the national space and advanced transportation administration emphasized the effectiveness of knowledge-based companies on transportation automation in a visit of knowledge-based companies based in research center for roads, housing and urban development.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Manouchehr Manteghi, chairman of the national space and advanced transportation administration, visited a part of facilities, energy, fire and geo-technique of the research center for roads, housing and urban development.

On this visit, Manteghi expressed: smart transportation is increasingly growing in modern world and new phenomena occur in this field every day. In Iran, there is a need for integration of transportation system to move in line with this pace of progress.

He continued: in order to organize the transportation section, we need to form joint committees and use all players of the field to prepare a comprehensive roadmap for activities and policy-making in the transportation field.

In another part of his speech, Manteghi asserted: automation and formation of specialized laboratories in the transportation field is significantly important. We must make efforts so that these laboratories could act as a network in order to increase their efficiency in this strategic industry.

Chairman of the national space and advanced transportation administration believes that automation is a suitable and guaranteed method to decrease road deaths. In addition, this act can lead to the optimization of the existing systems and their effective increase.
