The vice president for science and technology affairs expressed the high capacity of Alborz Province for flourishing of knowledge-based products, emphasizing the necessity of innovation entrepreneurship ecosystem.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, who traveled to Alborz Province with the goal of developing the ecosystem of knowledge-based and startup businesses and meeting with technology activists, talked about the considerable capacity of the province regarding the flourishing of knowledge-based production with the help of industrial capacities, expressing: the industrial background and capacities of Alborz Province are among the focal points for flourishing of knowledge-based businesses.

Sattari explained the production of pharmaceutical and industrial equipment as two important capacities of the province, marking: industrial and pharmaceutical companies have a special capacity. By using the entrepreneurship ecosystem of the province, we have attempted to direct these capacities toward the flourishing of knowledge-based products.

The president of the national elites foundation emphasized that startup and knowledge-based businesses that have innovation and creativity will be supported. In this regard, he affirmed: we will continue the path of supporting innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem and creating a suitable environment for creative activists of the province.

Pointing out that research centers must be the place for development of innovative businesses of academics and research centers, Sattari asserted: research centers must create a space for professors and research centers to take steps toward innovation and be guided toward innovative businesses. However, the most important prerequisite of this move is changing the attitude of research centers toward innovation and improving the environment for innovative business activities of academics and researchers.

Selling 90,000 Billion Tomans by Knowledge-based Companies in Last Year

Sattari mentioned the 90,000 billion tomans selling and valuable role of knowledge-based and startup businesses in last year, expressing: to date, these companies have shaped families with more than 4,400 companies and thousands of startups and have supplied technological and strategic needs of the country.

Visiting Innovative Units of Energy and Materials Research Center

Energy and materials research center, which has currently supported technology and innovative units and researchers, hosted the vice president for science and technology affairs and his delegation.

This research center has four sections with various skills in areas of water, materials of green buildings, packaging and antibacterial materials, composite and ceramic materials and materials purification and equipment manufacturing.

Currently, 19 technology units are registered in this province and three knowledge-based companies have entered the business market. In addition, 27 growth centers are based in the research center with a total contract level of one billion Tomans.

The Ability to Produce a Self-growing Seedling

During the visit, the vice president for science and technology affairs visited Hessami Plant Tissue Culture Laboratory. The mass production of self-growing tissue culture seedlings is a unique technology from the achievements of this plant lab. The most important advantage of this seedling is the quantitative and qualitative uniformity of the built gardens. This laboratory is active in the area of planting and exporting fruit and ornamental plants with the goal of commercializing plant tissue culture and has sold more than 50 walnut and banana seedlings.

In the next part of this trip, the vice president for science and technology affairs will visit the technology activists and authorities of the province and will meet with the representative of the Supreme Leader in Alborz Province and knowledge-based companies based in Karaj.
