According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, traveled to Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province to learn about the technological and knowledge-based achievements of Yasuj and talk with technological activists of this province.

Realization of “Boosting Production” in “the Second Step of Revolution” with the Help of Knowledge-based Activists

Sattari pointed out the statement of “the second step of revolution” and the emphasis of the Supreme leader on the youth, introducing the role of knowledge-based companies in boosting production as the key priorities of the current year. In this regard, he expressed: with regard to the statement of the second step of revolution by the Supreme Leader and this year’s slogan, there is a need and special attention to key topics such as knowledge-based economy, the youth, wealth creation from knowledge, innovation, and boosting of knowledge-based production. 

The vice president for science and technology affairs explained about the move toward the ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship while considering the fundamental priorities of the country, adding: knowledge-based companies have shown great capabilities in terms of providing the strategic and technological needs of the country. With regard to this year’s slogan and the condition of the country, two topics of boosting production and recognition and supply of sanctioned needs of the country are more emphasized in the country.

Society of the Path of Knowledge about the Importance of Innovation and Entrepreneurship

The president of the knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter regarded the increased attention of various sections to the knowledge-based culture as the sign for the awareness of the community of the importance of boosting this ecosystem to realize the concept of development.

He also announced the compiled programs to support the formation of science and technology parks of the private sector and innovation centers to support and present services to all technological activists of the province with no limitations, asserting: currently, there are 41 state science and technology park. In this regard, the Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Park has been the last park registered among these provincial parks.

Sattari added: soon, the private science and technology parks will enter the field of supporting knowledge-based and startup businesses, and similar to successful examples in the capital and metropolises of the country, science and technology parks in all provinces will be able to provide services to supply the society’s needs with the investment of the private sector without any geographic or time constraints.

According to the vice president for science and technology affairs, there are 4300 knowledge-based companies and more than six thousand startups in the country. This considerable amount has led to the realization of a suitable ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship in the region.

To Realize the Ecosystem Based on Provinces’ Facilities

The president of the national elites foundation talked about the efforts made by science and technology caravan to lay the proper foundation for creative and educated workforce of provinces, expressing: we are trying to make the province"s knowledge forces, especially graduates of medical, health, engineering, and other academic and academic capacities of the province, to have a clear path to entrepreneurship, create value added and mature, and crystallize their innovations. This route is based on the province"s facilities and infrastructure.

Sattari regarded the potential capacities of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad an opportunity to succeed in this area.

In addition, visit of abilities of several knowledge-based companies in Yasuj showed that today, the active, motivated and dynamic youth have taken steps toward the path of knowledge-based and startup businesses. The Project for Establishment of Garden of Medicinal Plants and Smart Greenhouses Is Initiated

During the travel of Sattari to Yasuj, the project of constructing a technology complex in the field of medicinal and ornamental plants was initiated.

Along with the governor of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Sattari attended the ceremony for initiating the construction of garden of medicinal plants and smart greenhouses in Yasuj University of Medical Sciences.

The vice president for science and technology affairs also visited the growth center and technological units of this university and learned about the technological cores based in this center and the concerns and needs of active technologists.

The activists of technological units based in science and technology park and growth centers of universities shared their views, needs and concerns for technological production.

In this regard, Sattari put the necessary follow-ups on the agenda.

Follow-up of Boosting Technological Production by Technologists of Industrial Town of Yasuj

Sattari also visited industrial town (No. 3) of Yasuj and the knowledge-based companies of Aria Shimi Co., producer of chemical pesticides and fertilizers (e.g., insecticides and fungicides), Aria Palayesh Dena, refining and recycling of used oils and expanding communication technology and the manufacturer of high-tech communication equipment.

In this visit, in addition to the evaluation of some strengths and weaknesses of knowledge-based units, production will be boosted and the necessary infrastructural support will be provided to increase production capacities.
