Head of the deputy for international affairs and technological exchange stated: one of the projects of the Vice-Presidency is implementing the program for improving the scale of production and occupation of capable knowledge-based companies, according to which the knowledge-based companies that require financial resources to expand their activities have been targeted.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Hossein Esfandiari, head of the deputy for international affairs and technological exchange, expressed about the program for improving the scale of production and occupation of capable knowledge-based companies: this program is established to provide facilities to capable knowledge-based companies from credits of the national development fund, so that the businesses of this group of important players of the economy could be flourished.

According to Esfandiari, our country has a suitable status in this field, compared to the leading countries of this area. Nevertheless, the optimal use of this asset requires planning for its actual entrance into the field of economy through occupation creation and entrepreneurship.

Development of Occupation Based on Completion and Improvement of Innovation Ecosystem in the Country

Esfandiari affirmed: the deputy has signed a memorandum of understanding with the budget and planning organization, ministry of cooperatives, labor, and social welfare, and the national development fund, aiming at designing and implementing programs to create and sustain productive employment using young, educated and expert human resources.

He continued: according to this MoU, the deputy has designed six programs for following up three main approaches in the occupation field, including “innovation in economic structures in line with improving the domestic construction power”, “development of occupations based on the completion and improvement of the ecosystem of innovation in the country” and “monitoring and meeting the human capital supply and demand”.

Providing Bank Facilities (1180 Billion Rials) to Knowledge-based Companies

Regarding the approved programs for creating and sustaining of extensive occupations, the head of the deputy for international affairs and technological exchange claimed: in addition to the program of “improving the production and occupation scale of capable knowledge-based companies”, the programs of marketing platform for domestic equipment (smart market for knowledge-based products) and the program for development of producing six knowledge-based entrepreneurial products are some of the agreements of this MoU.

He also asserted: supporting the development of creative industries, developing occupation based on completion and improvement of innovation ecosystem of the country, presence of private companies and large economic sections in the innovation field with the goal of optimal use of their capacities to develop the ecosystem of knowledge-based economy and programs to meet the graduated human capital’s supply and demand through supporting the improvement of skill level and occupation acceptance of human capital, and creating and developing centers to provide specialized services in universities are other programs of this project.

Regarding the details of the program for improving the scale of production and occupation of capable knowledge-based companies, Esfandiari asserted: according to this program, 86 companies were introduced to operating banks last year. Today, 17 knowledge-based companies have received more than 1180 billion rials worth of facilities. In this regard, 800 occupations have been created by these facilities.
