According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Mostafa Ghanei, secretary of biotechnology development headquarter, stated about using bio fertilizers in the country, expressing: we have sought the combination of chemical fertilizers with bio and organic fertilizers in the headquarter.

He continued: use of bio fertilizers will result in 10-20% increase in agricultural products. In addition, one-third of the import of chemical fertilizers can be reduced, which will lead to reduced exit of currency from the country (200 million dollars) in a year.

According to Ghanei, bio fertilizers are materials that increase soil efficiency and contain an adequate number of one or several types of beneficial microorganisms in soil. Bio fertilizers are microorganisms that are able to turn soil nutrition elements into nutrients such as vitamins and other minerals in a biological process.

He continued: consumption of bio fertilizers is inexpensive and causes no pollution in the ecosystem. In fact, bio fertilizers are elements that maintain beneficial microorganisms in soil.
