According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, according to the announcement by the biotechnology fund of the biotechnology development headquarter, the medical biotechnology projects have the highest priority for evaluation (46.66%).

Other projects are related to areas of agriculture (22.32%) and industrial biotechnology and equipment (12.17%).

Some of the services provided by the fund include providing a business plan for technology and knowledge-based agencies, providing a needs assessment report and justification reports for knowledge and technology projects and institutions, providing valuating reports, and evaluation and confirmation of eligibility of knowledge-based companies and institutes.
