The vice president for science and technology affairs reviewed the difficulties in the formation of the ecosystem of startups, stating: at first, there were many obstacles on the path of creating an ecosystem for entrepreneurship and innovation. However, many creative and entrepreneurial youth have returned to the country and have put their trust in us. By believing in the success of this path, important steps have been taken to form the startup ecosystem.

Do Not Refer to the Government to Attract Capitals

He mentioned the importance of lack of receiving government money as capital, asserting: loans are not suitable mechanisms for startups. We need to involve the private sector for investment. Today, a considerable number of venture capitals have been established in the country, which can help the flourishing of startup and knowledge-based businesses.

Sattari regarded the activists of the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem of Iran to be the members of a family, expressing: we are all on the same boat. The members of the startup family must solve each other’s problems. The mutual enemy of these individuals is unawareness and improper culture of oil-based economy, which must be corrected with the help of all of us.

The vice president for science and technology affairs emphasized the necessity of solving problems with the help of each other and lack of involving other units, affirming: these units lack the necessary mechanism for solving the current problems in the dynamic ecosystem of startups. Therefore, startups must solve their problems inside the ecosystem.

Sattari considered resistance as the necessity of success of startups, marking: if you want to be a part of the economy, you must fight, it is a reality.

Startup Ecosystem of Iran among the Most Unique Ecosystems

The vice president for science and technology affairs considered the startup ecosystem of Iran as one of the most unique ecosystems, adding: this ecosystem has been able to find its place among people since it is greatly supported. The society is the most important asset of this ecosystem.

Pointing out the acceptance of startups by the society today, Sattari mentioned: the country"s macroeconomic approach to the startup field has changed, and many executives have come to realize the value of startups and startups.

The president of the national elites foundation pointed out the attention of various unites, such as insurance companies and banks, to startups, claiming: banks are also investing in fintechs as a traditional system. The insurance industry also seeks the use of capacity of startups.

Referring to the formation of the startup ecosystem despite the many obstacles, Sattari said: we have had a hard time and I"m happy that the startups did not engage in those issues. Fortunately today, the startup ecosystem has been formed.

He continued: we all have played a role in the formation of this ecosystem. The oil-based government cannot be reformed with old ideas from its inside, but it can be shaped from the outside. I am glad that you fought for establishing this ecosystem.
