The vice president for science and technology affairs regarded science growth in Iran considerable at the verge of the 40th anniversary of the victory of Islamic Revolution of Iran, stating: in the past 10 years, our rank of science growth has improved from 34 to 16, which is predicted to reach 15 this year.
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, expressed during the visit of Pardis Technology Park by Dr. Nobakht, head of budget and planning organization: in the past 10 years, our rank of science growth has improved from 34 to 16, which is predicted to reach 15 this year. In addition, we have been ranked fourth in the field of nanotechnology. Our country is growing rapidly in certain areas such as biotechnology and stem cells, aerospace and science, while maintaining its first position.
Sattari reminded: last year, the sales of Iranian knowledge-based companies were more than 60 trillion tomans. In addition, by the end of last year, more than 300,000 direct jobs were created for graduated people in knowledge-based areas.
Sattari continued: the important point is that the best startup ecosystem in the region has been created and over the past few years, we have been able to create an environment in the country"s startup area, where the new ideas of activists in this area will affect people"s lives. This action can be considered as an injection of sweets of science in society.
He pointed out the bright future of this area, asserting: in Iran, we need a new business environment to create new ideas, an area that we have well advanced to this day.
He also claimed: today, the joint exhibition of “domestically produced laboratory equipment” is initiated with the cooperation of the ministries of sciences and health. This exhibition includes Iranian technologies for laboratory equipment.
Pointing out the provision of nine thousand high-tech devices in the exhibition, he stated: until today, we have not had an exhibition of this size in Iran. The point is the extraordinary orientation in the economy, from the beginning of this state to the foundation of knowledge economy, and the results are being seen today.
