A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs and Iranian Mines & Mining Industries Development & Renovation (IMIDRO) to develop the influence of technology on mine and related industries and support active companies and startups.

The vice president for science and technology affairs expressed during the meeting of knowledge-based economy and production leap of West Azerbaijan Province: an influential university earns a significant amount of its revenue from product sales and industry connections. We have to move in the direction that the universities distance themselves from the government money, otherwise the ceiling of their aspirations is equal to the money they receive from the government.

The vice president for science and technology affairs appointed Mahdi Sharifzadeh as the “secretary of the water and energy technologies development headquarter” over a decree.

During visiting the science and technology park of West Azerbaijan, Sattari emphasized the importance of using the geographical position of this province, which is close to Turkey, expressing: we must increase the export capacity of knowledge-based companies in this region of the country.

Sattari opened the smart city innovation center during his travel to West Azerbaijan province. This center is supposed to help develop fourth-generation information security and technologies of this province by establishing 12 technology units.

West Azerbaijan is the next destination of the vice president for science and technology affairs. The trip will be made to develop the technological infrastructures of Urmia. During the trip, Sattari will attend the opening ceremony of smart city innovation center in the province.

In a gathering with the managers of Hamshahri Newspaper, the secretary of the headquarters for culture knowledge-based economy, stated: as a journalist, I am happy to witness the opening of Hamshahri Media acceleration and innovation center by one of the large media companies of the country.

With the start of the 11th government in 2013, Sattari was appointed as the vice president for science and technology affairs and was reselected for another four years after reelection of Dr. Rouhani as the president of Iran.

“Converging structures” have been formed for targeted and structural support of teams and companies active in the field of game development to direct the services allocated to this area by these companies. More than 60 companies have joined this supportive structure in 2020.

A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Vice-Presidency for science and technology and Iranian Cyber Police regarding joint cooperation and using the capacity of activists in the knowledge-based ecosystem in order to create an opportunity for using the abilities of activists of the ecosystem in the path of establishment of cyberspace security.
