According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, significant technology and knowledge-based companies have emerged in the field of mining and mineral products in the past six years with the support of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs. In this regard, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Vice-Presidency and the Iranian Mining Engineering Organization to develop the mining innovation ecosystem in the country.

Mahdizadeh expressed: given the special focus of the Vice-Presidency on the mining field, an innovation center will be soon established in mining field with the cooperation of the Islamic Azad University. Establishing accelerators and specialized innovation centers can be a good platform for the birth of new startups in the field of mining.

Holding an Exhibition

In addition, Taghi Nabaei, the head of the central council and the Iranian Mining Engineering Organization, stated during the ceremony: the Vice-Presidency has provided a suitable foundation for technological development in mining field. We hope that we could persuade more activities by knowledge-based companies through the use of this capacity. These companies can create significant technological products based on mineral materials and products.

According to Nabaei, the Iranian Mining Engineering Organization has aimed to hold a large specialized exhibition in the mining field. Already, foreign and domestic companies have welcomed the event. Knowledge-based and technology companies can also use this opportunity to introduce their technology products to large mining companies.

According to the memorandum, the two parties will establish working groups to develop innovative activities in this area. In addition, supporting knowledge-based and technological companies that are active in the mining field with the use of the capacities of the two parties was another topic of the memorandum. In addition, it was decided to establish specialized mining accelerators and innovation centers.
