Afshin:
The artificial intelligence organization has not been removed from the Vice Presidency of Science
Referring to the President's decree for the National Artificial Intelligence Organization, the vice president of science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy stated: The organization has not been removed from the Vice Presidency of Science and will continue to operate at the highest level of governance.
According to the Communication and Information Center in the Vice Presidency of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, Hossein Afshin said regarding the new decree of the President for the Artificial Intelligence Organization: The President, in a decree, assigned the chairmanship of the National Artificial Intelligence Organization and its strategic council to Dr. Mohammad Reza Aref, First Deputy. In this ruling, the Vice President of Science was also appointed as the secretary and the vice president of the National Artificial Intelligence Organization.
In an interview with Fars reporter, he talked about the plans ahead of this organization: the implementation of the comprehensive plan of joint national action for artificial intelligence and the establishment and constitution of the National Artificial Intelligence Organization by Dr. Aref and I are on the agenda. In this way, not only the National Organization of Artificial Intelligence has not been removed from the Vice Presidency of Science, but it will continue to operate at the highest level of governance.
It should be mentioned that in the previous government, Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi ordered his Vice President of Science to form the National Steering Council and the National Center for Artificial Intelligence and made him responsible for forming the council. This organization, which was supposed to be opened in June, was postponed due to the martyrdom of the president and was finally opened on July 9 of this year in the presence of Mohammad Mokhber, the former head of the presidency, and Ruhollah Dehghani Firouzabadi, the former vice president of science, technology and knowledge-based economy. The National Steering Council of Artificial Intelligence is chaired by the President or his Vice President of Science, and the secretary of the council and the head of the National Artificial Intelligence Center are appointed by the proposal of the Vice President of Science and by the decree of the president.
