According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, expressed on the administrative council meeting of Sistan and Baluchestan, which was held in the presence of the governor, representative of people in the parliament and a number of senior provincial managers, that the local capacities and creativity of the human resource are two fundamental pillars of development of knowledge-based economy.
He pointed out the significance of empowering of young human resource and passing from resource-based economy to one based on creativity as the most important feature of knowledge-based economy, stating: extensive efforts have been dedicated to the formation of a new literature in the economy environment of the country by the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs where economy relies on the creativity of the young and educated human resource as the engine of economy.
Sattari regarded the establishment of a business and entrepreneurial space the most important pillar of economic transformation of the country with the help of knowledge-based companies.
Necessity of Attention to Capacity of Creative and Young Human Resource
President of the national elites foundation also asserted: more than 330 million young society members, five million students and academic graduates mainly in fields of basic sciences and engineering constitute an astounding capacity for development of knowledge-based economy. These people have no requirement except for a proper environment to show their creativity and do business. They can solve the problems of the country by innovation.
Sattari pointed out the fundamental steps taken by the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs for creation of an innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, expressing: implementation of the law to support knowledge-based companies and providing more than 130 services for business activists of this field have led to the creation of a proper space for flourishing of knowledge-based economy. Result of this support is the establishment of more than 3500 knowledge-based companies and earning above 60 thousand billion IRT worth of revenues.
Sattari also emphasized the infrastructural support and creation of the ecosystem for flourishing of ideas of the creative youth.
President of the national science foundation stated that a valuable capacity of young and creative human resource and prominent professors from top universities of the country are gathered in this city, mentioning: this considerable and valuable volume of human resource with this weight of knowledge must be improved and be turned into the main axis of solving the provincial problems.
Soft and Cultural Industries; Local Advantage of Sistan and Baluchestan Province
President of the soft and identity-making technologies development headquarter affirmed that as introduction of historical and cultural background of Iran, the soft and cultural industries can cause economic progress with the help of innovation. In this regard, he conveyed: Sistan and Baluchestan province has significant capacities in the area of crafts and tourism, which can lead to the creation of high added values by injecting innovation and technology.
The vice president for science and technology affairs also pointed out the key role of universities in development of creative and cultural industries by training creative human resource.
Head of the knowledge-based economy culture building headquarter pointed out the support of creative provincial projects by the Vice-Presidency, stating: these supports will create innovation and infrastructure for creation of startup and knowledge-based companies. Along with these supports, applicable solutions are presented to solve provincial problems based on creativity and innovation.
Signing Trilateral Cooperation Agreement in the Area of Renewable Energies
In another part of the meeting, a joint cooperation agreement was signed on the formation of the special renewable energy zone of Sistan and Baluchestan in the presence of the vice president for science and technology affairs, governor of the province and deputy minister of energy.
Some of the goals of this agreement are formation of proper infrastructure for development and commercialization of technologies relevant to knowledge-based businesses and industries related to renewable energies and investment in establishment of renewable energy power plants.
