Recycling of wet urban and sewage wastes is one of the measures taken by the energy technologies development headquarter to turn these wastes into eco-friendly solid fine-grained products.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, improvement of the system of turning and recycling wet urban and sewage wastes into eco-friendly solid fine-grained materials (BTR) is the title of a project performed with the support of technologies development headquarter. At the end of this project, it could be expected that urban wet sewage will be turned into a usable powder in production of MDF and chipboard (from solid urban wastes) and fine-grained products similar to sand to produce tiles and blocks (from sewage).

Unfavorable condition of urban wastes in all cities and villages of the country and their critical condition, existence of national assets in urban wastes and necessity of economic recovery have highlighted the importance of this project, which is effective due to being timely, having clean processes and having a final applicable product. In the system of this project, wet urban and sewage wastes are turned into eco-friendly fine-grained products. Performing of this project will eliminate the problems regarding wastes.
