Emphasizing that knowledge-based companies and startup businesses are supported for development based on domestic advantages, the vice president for science and technology affairs stated: for instance, supporting the field of medical plants, which are among the advantages of the province, will pave the way for flourishing of production and development of the province.
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the council meeting of economy of resistance of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province was held in the presence of Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, Ali Mohammad Ahmadi, the governorate of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province, Mohammad Mahdi Tehranchi, head of the Islamic Azad University, and a number of members and authorities.
Sattari pointed out the support of knowledge-based and startup businesses in the province in line with flourishing the ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship, expressing: the ecosystem is supported based on land advantages in order to prioritize production and supply sanctioned needs as an important priority of knowledge-based economy.
He mentioned that the science and technology park of the province has been equipped and developed in line with the flourishing of knowledge-based and startup businesses.
The vice president for science and technology affairs emphasized the development of accelerators, companies based in growth centers and science and technology parks in the form of granting facilities through the research and technology fund.
Capital Safety, the Major Priority of the Province
Ali Mohammad Ahmadi, the governorate of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province, explained that the path to support the development of innovation in the province must be targeted. In this regard, he marked: we will definitely yield results if we are able to plan and divide the work of academic centers and direct them toward the priorities of the region.

Mohammad Hossein Osareh, secretary of medical plants technology development headquarter, pointed out the suitable capacity of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province in the field of medical plants and capable knowledge-based companies in this province, adding: there are remarkable talents in the field of plant coverage and industrial and pharmaceutical plants in the province. By avoiding sectional works, we can obtain a sustainable advancement in this field.
In this meeting, approvals, topics and issues raised in former meetings of the council meeting of the economy of resistance of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province were followed up, especially in terms of support of petrochemical industries, helping the facilitation of currency attaining for industrialists and allocating low-interest loans.
In addition, a report was presented on the status of medical plants in the province, according to which the planting of medical plants has had a growing trend in the past two years by assigning 448 billion rials worth of facilities. Currently, the province has more than 90 hectares under cultivation and the minimum level of cultivation is expected to increase to more than 400 hectares in the future.
