The first international neuroscience forum was inaugurated in Shiraz Medical University with the support of the cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter at the Medical University of Shiraz in order to transfer the latest findings and advances in the field of “Neuro Technology” and “Brain-mapping”.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, in this international meeting, researchers and professors in the field of basic and clinical neuroscience in our country, along with a number of experts from various other countries, will share their latest scientific advances in the field of neuroscience.

In this international congress, researchers and experts will describe scientific findings on brain structure, cognitive brain-mapping, computational neuroscience, deep brain stimulation systems, electrophysiology, neuroprotection and the prospect of implantation of the nervous system.

In addition, the latest clinical and research views on neurological diseases will be discussed and specialized meetings on ethics and education in neuroscience will be held for researchers and enthusiasts of the field.

Sina Salehi, the scientific secretary of this international forum named the “cognitive brain-mapping”, “computational neuroscience", "electrophysiology", "nerve system prostheses", "neurological rehabilitation", “using neurotransmitter devices, “brain connective" and "psychological brain" as the main topics of the workshop.

According to Salehi, the field of neuroscience has been established at the PhD level in the neuroscience research center of Shiraz in order to develop this field of science in Fars Province, which is performing educational activities and has aimed to acquire the necessary licenses to accept PhD students in the neuro-technology field.

The international neuroscience forum “neuro-technology and brain-mapping” is inaugurated in Shiraz University of Medical Sciences by the neuroscience research center of Shiraz and with the cooperation of cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter and the national brain-mapping center and a number of centers and institutes and will continue to three days.
