According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the national event of startup weekend of electronic health will be held as an important innovative and entrepreneurial event with information technology in the area of health with the support of the electronic health working group of the information technology and cyberspace development headquarter. This event will be carried out to provide health services on the cyberspace using new technologies.

The national event of startup weekend of electronic health finds ideas related to the active unit in the health area and electronic health over a call. Therefore, necessary education for turning ideas into an efficient startup will be provided for the participants along with other educational workshops and specialized counseling. Moreover, the enthusiasts of the field are able to make teams. After completing the projects with the help of experienced instructors, ideas will be evaluated by judges and three top ideas will be selected to be supported for commercialization.

This event will be held for three days in August 2018 by the virtual faculty of University of Medical Sciences and Health Services of Tehran with regard to its mission in the area of providing health services on the cyberspace and new technologies with the cooperation of outsourcing (the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology Affairs, ministry of information and communication technology, and technology studies research center) and insourcing (the faculty of new medical technologies, office of communication with industry, and the growth center of health information technology, office of exceptional talents, Imam Khomeini Hospital and research center of occupational diseases and medicine of work).
