Secretary of the knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter announced the first national technology and entrepreneurial event of “care and elderly”, stating: this event is an opportunity for entering technologies into the field in order to witness the flourishing and promotion of activities in this field.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Parviz Karami, secretary of the knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter, mentioned: the first national technology and entrepreneurial event of “care and elderly” will be held in June by the efforts of the Iranian Nursing Organization, Payam-e Noor University, and Abr-e Zendegi Accelerator. This event is an opportunity for designing and producing websites, software, computer games, apps, and smart systems in this field.

The president of the information and communication center of the Vice-Presidency introduced the topics of the event to be active, dynamic and successful elderlies, evaluation of health status of the elderly, elderly exercising and mobility, in-home services for the elderly, and elderly care management.

In terms of the necessity of holding the event, the advisor to the vice president for science and technology affairs affirmed: statistics show that the elderly population of Iran is on a rise. Therefore, planning must be made in this field. However, aging is discussed as an important global issue. With the help of technology, this period of life can be suitably passed. Therefore, holding this event is a step toward helping the elderly.

The first national technology and entrepreneurial event of “care and elderly” will be held June 13^th-14^th, 2019 by the nursing organization of Iran, Payam-e Noor University and Abr-e Zendegi Accelerator and by the support of the knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter.
