In the year of “support of Iranian products”, the sixth round of the exhibition of equipment and materials made in Iran will be held December 24^th-27^th, 2018 at the location of international exhibition of Tehran.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, similar to last year, the exhibition of equipment and materials made in Iran will be held in three topic sections of “oil and petrochemical sciences, electricity, electronics and software, construction, mechanics, chemistry and metallurgy, agriculture and environment, basic physics, general laboratory equipment, laboratory materials, medical engineering and bio-compounds, test equipment and industrial testing and calibration services”.

Peyman Salehi, deputy for innovation and technology commercialization, pointed out the process of holding the exhibition and relevant rules, expressing: define presence of applicants in the exhibition after technical approval of their products and confirming their role in localization and achieving the technology of construction or production of goods will be possible. Similar to last year, products will be classified based on two features of level of intrinsic technology and localization, and companies can observe the instructions for product evaluation on the website of the exhibition.

The deputy for innovation and technology commercialization explained about the support provided for the exhibition: the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs holds the festival of Made in Iran to motivate demand and create the proper market for this area along with culture building and promotion of knowledge-based economy.

He also affirmed: in line with the support of domestic producers and technologists, the headquarter will pay 10-50% of the cost of products purchased by government research centers according to the classification regulation. Similar to the previous rounds, support will be provided in three levels.  

Head of the exhibition talked about the condition for attending the festival: companies are obligated to determine their product improvement program in 2019 upon registration in the event, which can include the industrial design of products, obtaining certificates of compliance with national or international standards (COC), product certificate (COP) and CE certificate or development of a new generation of technology.

Salehi asserted: according to our planned schedule, sellers can register for the event during August 20^th-September 22^nd, 2018 on the website of the event with the address of www.iranlabexpo.ir. In addition, for more coordination between universities and research centers of the country and creating more opportunities for evaluation of products, the process of issuing an invoice by companies will begin earlier than the time of the exhibition and from November 22^nd. Evidently, the process of contract conclusion and ensuring the purchases will be after the exhibition.

According to this report, the fifth round of the exhibition was held in May 2017, where 370 companies presented more than 9500 products-models, which have led to the definite selling of 58 billion IRT.
