Iran international space administration joined the group of sponsors of the first national festival of space and media.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the first national festival of space and media will be held February 3^rd 2017, concomitant with the national day of aviation industry, aiming to encourage media activists, such as authors, journalists, movie and animation makers, and those interested in producing high-quality contents in space area.

Therefore, the aerospace analytical base of Spash has provided a festival with the support of Iran national space administration, technology and innovation cooperation center, student branch of the union of aerospace industries of Iran, and non-government foundation for development of space sciences and technologies in order to improve the quality level of media contents produced in the space area. After the evaluation of the works by experts and prominent professors of this field, valuable awards will be given the first to third place winners of the event.

The main audience of this festival include “journalists”, “movie writers and producers”, and “animation, game and application producers”. Therefore, the works received in the first national festival of space and media will be “news and articles published or produced to be distributed in general written media”, “short films and animations”, and “games and applications”, which are related to economy, space technology and industry, space applications and services, space sciences and discoveries, and space planning and policy making.

In addition, in a special section called “funny space sounding”, those eager to put sounds of space movies, including documentaries on related topics, such as documentaries on astronomy, life of astronauts, scenes of spacecraft and satellite launches, or even pieces of cinema space movies or any other related video in order to create funny clips with their own topics and send to the festival.

Participants can send their written contents, including articles, reports, and notes, which were previously published, or visual contents, including short movies and animation and even short scenes of long movies with related topics, to the secretariat of the festival until December 11^th 2017.
