Technological needs of the country in the area of semi-floating platforms were determined in the second technology-based technology identification committee meeting in the presence of experts of this field.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the technology-based technology identification committee meeting was held in the presence of a number of experts of marine industry from various organizations related to floating platforms. In this meeting, technological needs in the area of semi-floating platforms were presented.

In this meeting, technological needs in the area of semi-floating platforms were explained and extraction of energy resources in deep waters (production of electricity, oil and gas), design and production of floating platforms, localization of standards for design of floating platforms, performing tests on laboratory models and creation of a databank were also pointed out.

According to this report, the needs of the country, analysis of advancing countries, current situation of companies and organizations, needs of customers and analysis of the axis of floating platforms were evaluated in line with the compilation of marine technology roadmap. At the end, the technological priorities of this field were determined.
