Secretary of biotechnology development headquarter stated that the economic dimensions of biotechnology are monitored in this organization, expressing: for logical presence in the biotechnology market of the world, Iran must be able to produce and sell $31 billion worth of biotechnology products.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Mostafa Ghanei, secretary of biotechnology development headquarter, affirmed that we need to have $31 billion worth of products and sells, marking: this is the only way to realize the goals of the comprehensive plan of the country and reach 3% of the global market.

He also added: it is predicted that the biotechnology will be about one hundred billion dollars on a global scale until 1404. According to Ghanei, significant revenue from biotechnology will be created for the country in the following years, in a way that the countrys revenue from the sale of biotechnology products will be about $110 billlion up to 1404.

In addition, he emphasized: realization of this issue will release the country from oil-based economy to a great extent.
