According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, expressed in a meeting with journalists after attending the opening ceremony of cell health biotech accelerator accompanied by Azizollah Shahbazi, the governor of Alborz and managers of the province: the output and achievements of activity of accelerators in the fields of biotechnology, human and livestock drugs and vaccines will be outstanding in the future, and this knowledge-based company is an example of significant measures taken by the youth in this area. The president of the national elites foundation confirmed the serious support of the biotechnology field by the Vice-Presidency, asserting: we have aimed to decrease dependency on import of effective medication compounds by these measures. About $600 million worth of pharmaceuticals imports are made in the human sector alone, with 80-90% of projects being implemented in this field.
