The marine group of the national space and advanced transportation administration has aimed to establish a comprehensive marine environment database with the goal of showing all marine capacities of Iran. This database is developed for users by adding new parts.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the marine group of the national space and advanced transportation administration has aimed to establish a comprehensive marine environment database with the goal of actualizing all marine capacities of Iran, where the links of different marine information in seas of Iran exist from domestic and foreign sources.

In addition, users and experts of the country can share the data related to their studies, introduce the global websites by presenting the relevant link, and announce their opinion about the existing data by commenting on the database.

This database has been established by the efforts of the marine group of the national space and advanced transportation administration and with the cooperation of member organizations of the national network of Naval Fleet including national oceanic and atmospheric research center, national geospatial mapping organization, geographic organization of the armed forces and fisheries research institute.

The various parts of the database include marine risks, atmospheric and oceanographic models, ocean data, ocean and ocean forecast, satellite data, and ocean climate.

Other parts of the base include "fisheries data", "dynamic and multi-layer maps", "climate real-time monitoring", "coefficients and compositions", "surface data", "marine geology" , "earth stations" and "applications".
