Mahdi Safarnia announced: technology investment meeting (TIM 2017) will be held this December in the presence of venture capitals funds of member countries of D-8 hosted by Pardis technology park of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs.
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Mahdi Safarinia, secretary of D-8 technology transfer and exchange network (D-8 TTEN), stated: the meeting of 2017 will be held in Pardis technology park in the presence of venture capital funds from various countries and experts of this field.
Head of Pardis technology park added: this meeting is designed for integration of venture capital funds of various countries, and contains several parts, including key lectures, discussion panels, expression of experiences and top venture capital models, story of interaction between selected startups and investors, the meeting to present investment opportunities by new companies (pitch deck) and educational workshops.
He also expressed: contents of the discussion panels include corporate venture capital (CVC), co-investment, valuation of new companies, role of the government, rules related to funds and business of investing angels, which are selected by the scientific workgroup of the meeting. In this event, experts of this field from Islamic countries are invited to present our latest achievements and obtain their opinions.
In terms of the participants of the meeting, Safarinia affirmed: experts and lecturers from Islamic countries, venture capital funds, new companies and representatives of companies from various scientific and technological fields have expressed their preparedness, and about 24 lecturers and active individuals in the area of venture capitals, more than 40 domestic and international funds and 10 new companies have announced their readiness.
The first technology investment meeting of D-8 (TIM 2017) will be held in Pardis technology park December 4th-5th, 2017 to cover the topic of venture capital funds.
