In line with making progress in international goals of the cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter, Iran and Brazil are passing an improving path in order to strengthen their sustainable scientific cooperation in this field.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter and the valid scientific centers of Brazil have prioritized sustainable cooperation in areas of share of experience, transfer of scientific findings, mutual cooperation and exchange of professors and students to strengthen the cooperation fields by applying supportive policies to implement joint projects by the researchers and specialists of this field. Iran and Brazil have created many mutual activities in order to develop and deepen scientific cooperation and attract researchers and specialists in various fields. These two have established the joint cooperation table to develop the scope of their activities in this area.

In addition, holding six rounds of call for admission of research projects in the area of cognitive sciences is the result of interactions with senior experts of cognitive sciences development headquarter and two valid scientific centers of Brazil to create a stable space for joint cooperation of the two countries in the past two years. The main issues considered in these calls have been recognition of the potentials for international cooperation in the area of cognitive sciences between Brazilian and Iranian researchers, development of joint research projects, creation of joint cooperation between scientific teams of Iran and Brazil in desired fields within the borders of knowledge and technology and development of cognitive services and tools between the two countries.

In addition, brain mapping, evaluation and rehabilitation services and tools, development of invasive and non-invasive tools for interaction with brain, education and studies on cognition of brain and social recognition are other fields of cooperation in this regard.

According to this report, the cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter and also the research foundation of Sao Paulo and research and evaluation organization of higher education of Brazil have concluded two contracts to improve scientific links between the centers in line with the implementation of joint projects along with exchange of professors and students in areas of cognition and brain.

The scientific delegations of the two countries have regarded the development and improvement of cooperation between the scientific and academic centers in cognitive sciences and use of the capacities and abilities of the two countries as the necessities for formation of sustainable scientific bonds to the joint benefit of the two countries in order to strengthen and improve cooperation and exchange information between Iran and Brazil.

Progress in the cognitive sciences of Iran has been significant in the past few years, and Iran has been ranked 16^th in the world in the field of artificial intelligence. In addition, Iran is ranked second among the regional countries in the area of cognitive sciences.

The increasing growth of science and technology in Iran and scientific ability of our country from one hand, and economic potentials of Brazil from the other hand, have made the two countries potential centers for proper joint scientific cooperation in fields of development of science and cognitive technologies, promising a bright future for development of sustainable cooperation in this regard.
