According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the second seminar of introducing incremental manufacturing technologies and applications was held with the support of the photonic, laser, advanced materials, and construction technologies development headquarter and with the cooperation of incremental research laboratory and applied chemistry research laboratory of Zanjan University.

Familiarization with the technology of 3D printing, its current and future states, introducing the FDM 3D printing technology and its applications and introducing the primary materials used in FDM are among the main topics of the seminar.

Incremental manufacturing technology will be one of the 10 ground-breaking technologies up to 2025. The interdisciplinary nature of this technology is such that the mechatronics engineering and materials engineering disciplines and software engineering, civil engineering, architecture and industrial design are directly and indirectly in the value chain of this technology, respectively.

The high growth speed of this technology is in a way that few people have not heard about its transformation in the industrial and academic environments. Without a doubt, developments will be held in the area of strategic technologies in developed countries.
