According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Mostafa Ghanei, secretary of biotechnology development headquarter, stated about the measures taken by the headquarter in the past few months: one of the requirements of the headquarter is formation of the main council in the strategic headquarter of the scientific comprehensive map of the country. This council will be held in the presence of all ministers of the country to better act in supply of needs in the field of biotechnology.

According to Ghanei, one of the most important measures taken in the past few months in this field is finalizing the biotechnology development document in the scientific comprehensive plan strategic headquarter. In this regard, he asserted: in contrast to other documents, it is expected in this document to have proper work division and participation of relevant organization.

He added: another positive act in this regard was approving the use of bioethanol, 5% implementation of which was confirmed by the organization of management and planning.

According to Ghanei, formation of sea biotechnology working group was another good measure taken by the headquarter in the past few months to obtain positive results in the area of aquaculture and algae production.

Secretary of biotechnology development headquarter regarded the signing of an agreement with the veterinary organization of the country a positive act, mentioning: this agreement has been signed to develop biotechnology in livestock, poultry and aquaculture production. The articles of this agreement involves cooperation in one of the largest defects of the country.

During the meeting, Abbas Shoja Saddati, manager of the industrial biotechnology working group, presented a report on holding the first conference of biology of systems.

In addition, the necessity of formation of algae committee of the industrial biotechnology working group and importance of algae industry were among the topics of the meeting.
