Creation of a global virtual ecosystem for nanotechnology leads to advancement in this technology.
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the fifth international meeting of nanotechnology was held, one of the key lecturers of which was Saeed Sarkar, secretary of nanotechnology development headquarter. In this meeting, which was held in Suzhou, China, and along with CHInano exhibition, Sarkar described the roadmap for creation of a global virtual ecosystem for nanotechnology.
Secretary of nanotechnology development headquarter presented a seminar in this meeting, emphasizing on the formation of a global virtual ecosystem for nanotechnology. He added: as the creation of physical platforms is important for linking all various parts involved in technology advancement, including researchers, scientists and industries of various countries, formation of a virtual platform could increase the pace of technological progress, especially in nanotechnology field.
Sarkar also mentioned the abilities of Iranian portals and websites, affirming: currently, various platforms containing information and database on nanotechnology are active in Iran. For instance, the nanotechnology student club is a student portal and contains information about nano science and technology expressed in simple language. Moreover, TAVANA laboratory network provides laboratory services related to nanotechnology for high school students.
According to the secretary of nanotechnology development headquarter, this websites covers various academic fields, including nano material, nano physics and nano chemistry. The nanotechnology laboratory network is also a portal including more than 3000 laboratories related to nanotechnology across nation, providing laboratory services for researchers of this field. On the other hand, the portal of nanosafety contains a wide range of information on safety in nanotechnology.
He continued: therefore, these activities and activists of various fields must be linked, so that interactions are improved, speed and quality of service provision can increase and an efficient flow of information could be created.
Secretary of nanotechnology development headquarter expressed the willingness of Iran in making international associations in nanotechnology, conveying: currently, Iran and China has signed an agreement to establish a nanotechnology ecosystem online database with the address of www.nanoecosystem.cn. We hope that this cooperation be changed and other countries could be able to participate in this area, so that exchange of science, information, technology and market could be empowered more than ever.
