According to the vice president for science and technology affairs, there are high capacities for flourishing of knowledge-based economy, which must be active instead of passive by creating the necessary infrastructures.
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, expressed on the inauguration ceremony of the energy technologies and innovation center of Anzali Free Zone: the main goal of establishing this center is creating movements and using the necessary infrastructures in innovation and flourishing of knowledge-based economy.
He added: the regional condition of Gilan is favorable for developing knowledge-based economy. In addition, the presence of culture of entrepreneurship, universities, and creative and educated youth are among the capacities that must be at the service of developing the culture of knowledge-based economy.
Sattari pointed out that innovation, creativity and knowledge-based companies are the biggest winners of the new businesses for creating values and occupations. In this regard, he continued: fortunately, the Anzali Free Zone is not polluted by incompatible industries, and there is an attitude toward the development of innovative and knowledge-based businesses among regional authorities.

The vice president for science and technology affairs visited the Caspian Snail Industry Development Co., producer of snails with cosmetic and therapeutic applications, which manufactures approximately nine tons of snail.
Sattari also visited Happy Land Factory and learned about the achievements of this productive group in the area of children’s clothing.
Moreover, the president of the national elites foundation visited the semi-industrial workshop of Fashtam, in which more than 20 knowledge-based companies are based and perform activities.
