The 10th call for support of research projects by the cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter is published with an emphasis on comprehensive cognitive issues of the society.
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter has published the 10th call for support of research projects by the cognitive sciences and technologies development with an emphasis on comprehensive cognitive issues of the society and in order to develop synergy of dissertations and theses of students so that specific goals in this field could be achieved.
Support of 200 Research Projects
To date, nine stages of call for support of research projects were held, the result of which has been the support of more than 200 research projects in the area of cognitive sciences and technologies in the scientific centers of the country.
On the 10th stage of the call for support of research projects, supporting the prominent researchers who are eager to work in the field of cognitive sciences and technologies and have had no experience in this area is taken into consideration.
Focused activities related to the supervision of master"s theses and doctoral dissertations, the publication of articles in valid journals, the performance of research projects, the production of goods, or the provision of services in the field of cognitive science and technology have been defined in this call.
Hossein Azizi, the senior expert of the cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter, announced: the proposed projects of the researchers include at least two theses (master’s and doctoral), which must follow up the development of technology and services in the cognitive field and within the framework of priorities of the headquarter.
Evaluation of Meeting the Needs of the Society and Development of Knowledge-based Economy
Azizi also expressed: research projects and technology development, especially in the field of basic sciences, depends of the clarity of the next phases of the project to meet the society’s need and develop knowledge-based economy.
He continued: rehabilitation and promotion of cognitive abilities, applied and fundamental research in cognitive education, applied and fundamental research in cognitive language science (cognitive linguistics), cognitive research based on brain mapping, developing tools and technologies for studying the time-network behavior of the brain, cognitive research in clinical fields and cognitive neuroscience, development of cognitive technologies related to the relationship between brain with machine and brain with brain, fundamental studies and theorizing in the field of cognitive sciences, cognitive modeling, and cognitive psychology are some of the prioritized research projects in this call.
Researchers, professors and enthusiasts of the field can send their research projects until June to the headquarter to be evaluated and supported.
