Assessment of works of Rumi is the title of the first research seat in this area, granted by the national science foundation to take effective steps in this area inside and outside of the country.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, assessment of works of Rumi is the first research seat granted to Seyed Ali Asghar Mir Bagherifard by the Iran national science foundation. Mir Bagherifard stated about this seat: Rumi is the main origin of Islamic mysticism and culture. Message of Islamic mysticism are stated in the works of Rumi in an appropriate and artistic manner.

According to the faculty member of University of Isfahan, some of the goals of this seat include explaining Rumis tradition and mysticism and his position in Islamic mysticism, measuring the needs of society at different levels to Rumis ideas for achieving life and cultural and spiritual excellence, explaining the available capacity in Rumis works and views to meet the needs and respond to the cultural and spiritual issues of society and design patterns, and methods of promoting Rumis thoughts in society in accordance with different levels of needs.

Head of the association on promotion of Farsi language and literature also expressed: the topic of promotion of assessment of Rumi’s work inside and outside of the country has been regarded. In this respect, joint coordination researches have been performed with universities and science centers of other countries, among which the translation of Rumi’s works can be indicated.

In terms of programs of the seat for introducing Rumi as one of the most significant Islamic mystics and the prominent Persian poems, he affirmed: without a doubt, the comprehensive plan of this seat has been predicted to explain about both the role of Rumi in the evolution path of Islamic mysticism and improvement of position of Farsi language and emergence of Farsi literature masterpieces, such as Masnavi and Diwan-e Kabir, in order to use the language and cultural capacities of his work for realization of the mentioned goals.
