The agreement on inauguration of an innovation center and acceleration of technologies in the library, document and digital content fields was signed by Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, and Ashraf Boroujerdi, head of the organization of documents and national library, to accelerate the formation of the entrepreneurship ecosystem by creating this center.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, an agreement was signed on “establishment of innovation center and acceleration of technologies in the field of library, document, and digital content” by Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, and Ashraf Boroujerdi, head of the organization of documents and national library, to take an important step toward the development of entrepreneurial ecosystem and contribution to the culture-building of knowledge-based economy for academic graduates and students of the field.

By signing this agreement between two organizations, the support of the formation of the innovation center and acceleration in this field will be followed up. In this regard, necessary measures will be taken to increase the pace of achieving the necessary licenses for establishment and inauguration of the innovation center.

The launch of this center will support the holding of technological events with the participation of knowledge-based companies and accelerators in this field and we will see the development of startup activities. Networking and connecting libraries, documents, and digital content accelerators is another step that will be taken by concluding this agreement.

Other activities at the center include providing content and technical training needed to empower accelerator-based teams, including visits and training courses on issues and challenges in the field of libraries, documents and digital content.

Activity of Startups and Accelerators Working in the Field of Content Production

During the ceremony, Sattari pointed out the existence of a large treasure in the national library of Iran that can lay the foundation for activity of startups and accelerators working in the content production field, asserting: there is a large volume of data in this center. In this regard, startups can create a win-win situation for themselves and their organization by being active in this field since the promotion of startup activities creates new revenues for the organization.

The president of the digital economy and automation technologies development headquarter talked about the use of new technological methods, affirming: the use of modern and technological practices leads to the booming of many areas. For example, if we speak of the development of the Persian language, this path should be followed using these new methods.

In the end, Sattari pointed out the development of cooperation with the organization of documents and national library, expressing: we are prepared to cooperate with this organization in the field of new technologies so that the activities are accelerated in various fields, including the recycle of more modern documents.

Development Occurs in the Country by Using New Approaches

Regarding the supportive role of the Vice-Presidency, Sattari marked: cooperation among government organizations can lead to the realization of an idea, which is the plan for transformation at the national level. Fortunately, proper cooperation has been made by the Vice-Presidency in this area.

According to this report, the first entrepreneurial event of “VITA” was inaugurated on August 5^th, 2019 in the organization of documents and national library to take an step toward the development of cooperation and use of the capacity of young forces in the field of artificial intelligence and data. Within a week of the start of registration, projects on technological challenges previously announced in the preliminary call were sent to the Vita Event Secretariat, where four projects were selected to enter the pre-acceleration phase.
