According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, these research projects in areas of cognitive neuroscience, cognitive psychology, cognitive technologies, cognitive education and cognitive linguistics are fully supported by the headquarter. Implementation of these projects is a step toward the improvement of skills and abilities of students and experts and use of the current capacities of the country in order to move toward self-efficacy and reduction of dependencies and bring honor in the academic levels. 40 projects were introduced as the prominent projects of the headquarter, which were designed and presented in important academic centers of the country, such as Sharif, Tehran, Amir Kabir, Beheshti and K. N. Toosi University of Technology, with the support of the headquarter.

In addition, extensive support of formation of leading groups in the fields of cognitive sciences is another measure and activity of this headquarter. This measure is taken in order to use the scientific and specialized power of researchers and collect their activities in joint sections. Currently, three leading groups are working in areas of cognitive sciences and the fourth group has initiated its activity in the present year. The area of development of “brain implant” has been seriously considered by the headquarter. In addition, directing the non-convergent specialized activities is the main goal of the headquarter in this section. However, given the proper potential in the areas of engineering and medicine in the country, 10 brain implant projects are supported by the headquarter, and their activity continues in the implementation of these projects with the help of academic researchers.
