A Cooperation Agreement Is Signed between the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology Affairs and the Anzali Free Zone Organization

 

A joint cooperation agreement is signed between the energy technologies development headquarter and the Anzali Free Zone Organization with the goal of creation and establishment of an energy technology development center in this region and organize the knowledge-based companies of energy field in this section. It is notable that the agreement was signed by the secretary of the energy technologies development headquarter and CEO of Anzali Free Zone Organization.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Kambiz Mahdizad Farsad, secretary of energy technologies development headquarter, pointed out the visit of the Anzali Free Zone region during the ceremony for signing a cooperation agreement with the Anzali Free Zone Organization, stating: after visiting the region, it was determined that the Anzali Free Zone Organization has provided a space for establishment of knowledge-based companies so that technological companies could continue their activities in this region in a focused manner. Therefore, the recommendation for establishment of an energy technology and innovation center was made for organization in order to organize the knowledge-based companies in the energy area and witness their activities in the region. However, it is decided to also witness the activities of knowledge-based companies in the areas of fishery and agriculture in the region.

During the meeting, Reza Masrour, CEO of Anzali Free Zone Organization, mentioned that soon we will witness the greater role playing of this region in the national economy of the country, expressing: signing this agreement and cooperation with the Vice-Presidency will affect the activities of the Anzali Free Zone since all infrastructures for activities of startups and knowledge-based companies are provided in this region.

In addition, Masrour invited Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, to visit the Anzali Free Zone.

According to this report, creation and establishment of energy technologies development center in the Anzali Free Zone, holding professional educational courses to improve the professional capacity of knowledge-based companies and support of the activities of associations for promotion and culture building in the field of renewable energies are among the goals of signing this agreement.

Moreover, according to this agreement, cooperation will be facilitated on attracting high-tech industries related to energy field, holding specialized meetings and exhibitions in the field of energy and environment in the Anzali Free Zone, and increasing synergy in improvement of corridor of China, Kazakhstan, and Iran to transfer energy-oriented products.

Furthermore, a secretariat will be established to follow up the implementation of the agreement and to guide and introduce technological and research projects performed by the private sector, and academic and university research centers.
