Emphasizing the extremely suitable capacity of cultural heritage and tourism industry for development of creative and cultural industries, the vice president for science and technology affairs expressed: entrance of innovation into these fields is a priority for startups and knowledge-based companies.
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, visited the innovation center of research center of cultural heritage and tourism on May 21st, 2019, accompanied by Ali Asghar Mounesan, deputy vice president and head of the cultural heritage, handcrafts and tourism organization. In this visit, activists of startups talked about their ideas in the field of cultural, soft and creative industries.
Sattari emphasized the cooperation between the Vice-Presidency and the cultural heritage, handcrafts, and tourism organization for development of creative and cultural industries and startups, marking: joint programs and serious collaborations are on the way. We have plans specifically in the field of infrastructural and financial support and we are prepared to support accelerators in the field of tourism and cultural heritage based on the joint cooperation mechanism.

These steps are taken in line with the support of active youth to lay the foundation for flourishing and renovating a part of the historical texture of Tehran.
Sattari pointed out the financial and infrastructural support of development of ecosystem for startups in the field of cultural heritage and tourism, expressing: this field pays a part of the costs for restoration of the historic home of Colonel Iraj.
Unveiling the Virtual Tourism System
During the visit, the smart system of Hyper Escpo was unveiled in the presence of Sattari and Mounesan. All startups in the field of cultural heritage, handcrafts and tourism have virtual booths in this virtual exhibition and can present their products.
Using the virtual system will provide an opportunity for startups to directly interact with their visitors. Branding and attracting investors by managers of startups are other advantages of this smart system.
Restoration of the Historic Home of Iraj by the Support of the Vice-Presidency
Currently, a part of the historic house of Colonel Iraj has been renovated and the process of renovation of this building will be completed with the cooperation of the private sector and the Vice-Presidency.
Nomadic tourism, child tourism, virtual museum, voices of historic places, waterproofing the soil, glass and stone of historical buildings are the areas of activities of startups based in the historic house of Colonel Iraj.
In this visit, Mohammad Hassan Talebian, deputy of cultural heritage, Vali Teymouri, deputy of tourism, Hossein Arbabi, deputy of legal investment and parliament affairs, Pouya Mahmoudian, deputy of handcrafts, and Mohammad Khayatian, deputy of development of management of cultural heritage organization were present.
