“Financial infrastructures” are the necessities of exchange of technological products between Iran and Kenya

 

During his travel to Kenya, the vice president for science and technology affairs emphasized the necessity of creating a bank credit line and providing the foundation for interaction of knowledge-based companies of both countries to exchange technological products and services.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, who traveled to the east of Africa, emphasized the necessity of laying the proper foundation for exchange and export of technological products and services between the companies and financial units of the two countries during the second round of meetings in Nairobi, expressing: we need to provide the proper environment for cooperation and interaction between the companies and financial units of both parties to exchange products, services, knowledge, technologies and experiences and to facilitate export by creating a joint banking credit line.

Sattari pointed out the necessity of existence of a sponsor for scientific and commercial cooperation between the two countries, affirming: companies must be rest assured that they will be financial supported in the technological exchanges. In this regard, the bilateral policies must be transparent to provide the foundation for exchange.

Head of Kenya Investment Authority, Moses Ikiara, presented a report on the cooperation areas of both countries, asserting: we are prepared to perform scientific projects in areas of ICT, pharmacy, services, and medicine.

He mentioned the geographical and weather condition of Kenya and emphasized the lack of use of chemical compounds and the efforts of the country toward preserving the environment, adding: use of clean technologies has been focused in the country.

In this meeting, a report was presented on the activities of Iranian knowledge-based companies and their technological products to the head of the investment authority of Kenya in addition to presenting the Iranian technological delegation in Kenya for development of export of scientific and technology products.

According to this report, the vice president for science and technology affairs along with representatives of financial units and more than 70 knowledge-based companies of the country started their travel to African union countries since October 2nd 2018 in order to benefit from the capacities of each other in the field of export of knowledge-based products and services.
