The 18th annual summit and festival of the bests of Pardis Technology Park of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs was held in the presence of the vice president for science and technology affairs, Vice President of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, center for progress and development of Iran, and the governor of Pardis.

The memorandum of understanding to establish the first "iTech" innovation center in the agriculture field was signed between the vice president for science and technology affairs and the ministry of agriculture. The MoU was signed by Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, and Kazem Khavazi, the minister of agriculture.

The 18th annual summit and festival of top companies of Pardis Technology Park was held in the presence of the vice president for science and technology affairs, the vice speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, the center for progress and development of Iran, and the governor of Pardis. In addition to awarding the top knowledge-based companies, four commercialized knowledge-based products were unveiled by the technologists based in Pardis Technology Park during the ceremony.

The vice president for science and technology affairs expressed during the meeting of knowledge-based economy and production leap of West Azerbaijan Province: an influential university earns a significant amount of its revenue from product sales and industry connections. We have to move in the direction that the universities distance themselves from the government money, otherwise the ceiling of their aspirations is equal to the money they receive from the government.

The vice president for science and technology affairs appointed Mahdi Sharifzadeh as the “secretary of the water and energy technologies development headquarter” over a decree.

TEHRAN – Iran is playing the leading role in the region in the fields of fintech, ICT, stem cell, aerospace, and is unrivaled in artificial intelligence, Sourena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology, told the Tehran Times in an exclusive interview on Saturday.

During visiting the science and technology park of West Azerbaijan, Sattari emphasized the importance of using the geographical position of this province, which is close to Turkey, expressing: we must increase the export capacity of knowledge-based companies in this region of the country.

Sattari opened the smart city innovation center during his travel to West Azerbaijan province. This center is supposed to help develop fourth-generation information security and technologies of this province by establishing 12 technology units.

West Azerbaijan is the next destination of the vice president for science and technology affairs. The trip will be made to develop the technological infrastructures of Urmia. During the trip, Sattari will attend the opening ceremony of smart city innovation center in the province.
