Export Intermediaries of Iran Are Soaring in Various Countries
The director general of the international business development office of the Vice-Presidency stated: last year, one of the most important measures taken by the center to develop the activities of Iranian creative and knowledge-based companies in other countries was increasing the number of export intermediaries.
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Rouhollah Estiri, the director general of the international business development office, expressed about last year’s actions of the center: developing the support package was one of the goals of the Vice-Presidency last year, in a way that the support of creative companies was initiated along with the support of knowledge-based companies.
He continued: in this regard, about 350 creative companies were supported by the Vice-Presidency last year, and businesses of knowledge-based companies were developed concomitant with creative companies.
Estiri also marked: we have also concluded contracts with export intermediaries to develop the international business of creative and knowledge-based companies. According to this plan, we signed contracts with intermediaries from Kenya and Turkey last year. In addition, concluding a contract with an export and import management corporate in the software field with an emphasis on Germany and another contract with a company in the field of selling medical equipment and drugs in the Middle East with an emphasis on Russia were other measures taken by the center.
He affirmed: we hope that the import and export management companies be able to help develop the international activities of knowledge-based and creative companies.
Estiri also mentioned: currently, we have active export brokers in countries such as Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Kenya, Malaysia, Azerbaijan, China, Oman, and England.
According to Estiri, we have faced difficulties in the export of companies. However, due to the difference in the value of dollar and rial, companies are more eager to export, and export attractions have increased among these corporates.
He added: the international science and technology exchange center has aimed to increase its maximum support level to help creative and knowledge-based companies develop their international businesses. In addition, Iran national innovation fund has allocated 50 billion tomans to the domestic and international empowerment of companies.
