Unveiling eight types of vaccine in Alborz

 

During a ceremony in Nazar Abad of Alborz Province, eight types of animal and human vaccine were unveiled in the presence of Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs and Mahmoud Hojjati, minister of agriculture with primary investment of 220 billion IRR and purification power of 10 thousand liters of plasma.

In this regard, the vice president for science and technology affairs stated: entering of the private sector into the field of investment and support of knowledge-based startups and companies in the area of medicine and biotechnology has led to the supply of country’s demands in the area of export of these products by the guiding and facilitating role of the government.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, regarded the entrance of the private sector in the area of support and investment in the area of biotechnology knowledge-based companies and startups as the most important necessity for advancement of the country in this field during the unveiling of the animal and human pharmaceutical products manufactured by knowledge-based companies, which a rebased in the accelerator and medicine biotechnology growth center of “PersisGene”, affirming: the presence of the private sector in the area of knowledge-based, similar to medical biotechnology field, has provided the opportunity for flourishing of knowledge-based businesses. In this regard, the government must provide the necessary infrastructures to be active in this area.

Sattari regarded the production of products or presenting quality services based on the society needs as the most important feature of knowledge-based companies and startups, declaring: the achievements of these businesses have been due to the support of the private sector, and are therefore based on the need and demand of the community.

Facilitating Role of the Government in Support of Knowledge-based Economy

President of the national elites foundation pointed out the role of the government in support of creation of the proper infrastructure for activities of knowledge-based companies and startups, stating: the government can pave the way for presence of investors of the private sector in the knowledge-based area by providing low-interest facilities and simplifying license issuance process. 

Mentioning that 25 active cores of this growth center are entering the process of product presentation to the market, Sattari affirmed: currently, two of these products have been commercialized and unveiled. Meanwhile, seven medical biotechnology drugs will enter the market in the next year by technological cores based in this growth center.

Culture of Iran is Believing in Moving toward Empowerment

Mahmoud Hojjati, minister of agriculture, regarded the growth of the country in the knowledge-based area as the result of self-belief and use of the present facilities and abilities, stating: the astounding capacities and wide equipment and high abilities of us are confirmed. We just need to believe in ourselves to make progress in the country.

Unveiling Eight Pharmaceutical Products in the Area of Medical Biotechnology

In this ceremony, eight types of animal and human vaccine were unveiled in the presence of the vice president for science and technology affairs, Mahmoud Hojjati, minister of agriculture, and Mohammad Ali Najafi, governor of Alborz province.

Growth of Medical Knowledge-based Companies and Supplying the Need of the country

According to this report, the PersisGene accelerator has been established since 2016 with the investment of the private sector and support of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs as the first accelerator of medical biotechnology of the country. This center is one of the technological units active in the area of medical biotechnology (medication and equipment) and regenerative medicine (stem cells), which provides the foundation for commercialization of knowledge-based ideas.

By announcing this call, eight technological teams have been supported by the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs and a number of units have produced knowledge-based products in less than one year.

Production of Human Antidotes in Line With Global Standards

One of the active knowledge-based companies of “PersisGene” accelerator has produced snake and scorpion antidotes for humans by a number of specialists of medical biology. Today, they have obtained the national and global standards by relying on their own expertise to provide products to the domestic and regional markets.

Production of Animal Vaccine to Prevent a Dangerous Disease

Vaccine for PPR virus and plague of small ruminants is an advanced knowledge-based product manufactured by one of the knowledge-based companies based in the accelerator of “PersisGene”, which has entered the medicine market.

PPR is a severe viral disease with rapid outbreak, which mainly involves small ruminants (sheep and goat). Today, the vaccine for this disease has been produced by a technological domestic company with the investment of 220 billion IRR by the private sector.
