According to the Public Relations and information Center of the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology, the first multifunctional metal float is manufactured over six months in Siraf Ship-making Co. of Parand Industrial Town of Tehran by the efforts of domestic researchers. This float is designed based on the needs of the customer by integrating the performance of dredging and multi-cat floats. All design and construction stages were carried out under the class of Iranian ranking institute by domestic specialists of Siraf Fanavaran Co.

Hassan Ebrahimpour Ziaei, CEO of Siraf Fanavaran Knowledge-based company, designer and producer of the multicat float expressed: the relative time required to construct such floats in European yards is 11 months. However, we have been able to design and throw this float into the water in six months.
