Chips of smart national cards and passports will be designed and produced by knowledge-based companies inside the country with the support of the digital economy and automation technologies development headquarter.

Given the importance of developing high-technology products based on the country’s needs, the digital economy and automation technologies development headquarter has aimed to support technological projects in three fields of designing, manufacturing and producing turbomolecular vacuum pumps, designing chips of smart national cards and passports, and generating high speed secure quantum random numbers.

In this call, the projects sent to the headquarter are evaluated by the specialized working group, and in case of approval, they can benefit from low-interest facilities.

In addition, the criteria for judging projects will be technical, commercial and innovative criteria, and the call will continue to January 27^th, 2019.
