According to the vice president for science and technology affairs of Iran, there is a great creative and educated human resource in the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem of Iran, which provides the foundation for cooperation and expansion of relationships in these areas.
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, pointed out the improvement of indices of technology and innovation of Iran in the past years, stating: improving the position of Iran in global innovation index has led to the placement of Iran among the top countries of the world in some key technology sections.
Sattari pointed out the enhancement of global innovation index of Iran from 120 to 60, expressing: this policies have been designed in line with the formation of proper business environment since creating this environment is the most important necessity for flourishing of knowledge-based businesses and improving the position of Iran in terms of innovation and entrepreneurship.
The Favorable Ecosystem of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Lays the Foundation for International Cooperation
The president of the national elites foundation reminded the favorable position of Iran in terms of the number of graduates in fields of technical, engineering and basic sciences, affirming: there has been a significant improvement in the number of active experts in areas of nano and biotechnology and cognitive sciences, which has led to the improvement of scientific and technology condition of Iran.
He mentioned the formation of a proper business environment for startups and knowledge-based companies, adding: in Iran, a proper environment and area has been created for activities of knowledge-based companies in a way that some of the successful startups have been able to find their place among the most productive and most productive businesses in the country over the past five years.
He also reminded that in the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, various products have been produced and presented and created a good opportunity for occupation of the youth. In this regard, he asserted: by creating the proper support foundations, we have been able to turn the interaction between innovation centers and experts into various products.
The vice president for science and technology affairs expressed his hope that this meeting would open a new door to bilateral cooperation and exchange of technology in various fields, including startups and knowledge-based companies.
Serious Determination of Iran for Development of Technological and Innovative Cooperation
The vice president for science and technology affairs referred to the serious determination of Iran for expanding the scientific cooperation between countries, emphasizing: with its extraordinary capacity of human resources and ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship, Iran is ready to develop scientific and technological cooperation with other countries of the world. In this regard, expansion of cooperation with African Union countries is one of the priorities of Iran.
The minister of science, technology, and innovation of Uganda Elioda Tumwesigye, pointed out the achievements of experts of Iran in the beginning of the meeting, stating: Iran has been able to train a good human resource by its proper educational system.
He added: the achievements of Iranian in the areas of agriculture and biotechnology are admirable.
Welcoming of Iranian Technological Products in Market of Uganda
According to this report, the technological products of knowledge-based companies of Iran attracted the attention of companies of Uganda.
The commercial meeting of Iran and Uganda was held October 3rd 2018 in Kampala, capital of Uganda, in the presence of 150 technological companies of the two countries, the vice president for science and technology affairs and minister of science, technology and innovation of Uganda and Iranian and foreign countries.
